Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Horseheads, NY facility. Relocation assistance is available!


The expected annual salary range for this role is $101,250 - $135,000 a year.

What you’ll do:

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will deal with materials management; encompassing scheduling/planning of production orders; procurement of raw materials (strategic and tactical); material movement (incoming receiving, move and outbound shipping) and purchasing of capital and all requirements to operate the facility. You will be accountable for all materials management and supply chain reporting for the Horseheads plant. You will advise the Plant Manager of critical strategic issues in alignment with Divisional guidance.

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in the development of plant strategic plans and align departmental goals, including development of supply chain strategies
  • Lead materials management activities – planning/scheduling, inventory management, procurement, logistics
  • Direct purchasing activities for production materials and non-production materials including capital and facilities (MRO, etc); Responsible for minimizing purchase price variance
  • Build organizational capability though development plans, mentoring, driving accountability, cross-training & succession planning
  • Recommend alternative course of action as part of closed loop process to reconcile differences between production capacity and unconstrained demand
  • Be responsible for out-sourcing activities to meet demand requirements and reduce supply chain risk
  • Develop commodity strategies in alignment with Corporate direction and business needs
  • Execute Eaton supply chain programs; establish and maintain procedures for the department
  • Be responsible for reviewing Excess &Obsolete inventory and guide disposition

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • At least five (5) years of supply chain experience


Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Advanced Degree
  • PC spreadsheet, word processing, ERP system knowledge and software to interact with host systems
  • Engineering product structures knowledge
  • Marketing theory and/or sales experience
  • APICS (CPIM) and/or ISM (CPM) certification
  • Legal aspects of purchasing
  • Management/supervisory experience
