Location - onsite
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm (weekends as needed, although highly unlikely)
Summary
- This position will perform distribution and warehouse functions within the Supply Chain Distribution team, may require swing and/or weekend coverage (Shift work) occasionally.
- Candidates for this position will have direct interaction experience with GMP environment with a quality mindset.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
- May participate in cross-functional teams.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices and defers to supervisors and managers to determine appropriate action.
- Responsibilities require specific knowledge of routine tasks, and basic application of principles.
- Independently troubleshoots and diagnoses non-routine problems
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic Organizational and writing skills required.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Performs routine administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products/inventory.
- Inputs information regarding movement and handling of products in a computerized inventory system. Organizes and maintains accurate records associated with Distribution activities.
- Complies with all established SOPs in performance of job. Adheres consistently to cGMPs.
- Escalates deviations in process or product to supervisor, to ensure on-time delivery of material and return of rejected or unsuitable orders.
- Notifies relevant departments as items are received, shipped or processed, as required.
- Complies with all safety-related procedures and practices personally and in area and guides others in practices.
- Physically examines incoming or outgoing shipments, products or samples to ensure they meet specifications and match paperwork. Identifies and records deviations and escalates to supervisor.
- Operate forklifts/manlifts to perform, physical handling of items, including assembling packaging, affixing shipping labels and instructions to packaging, moving shipments.
- May perform basic tasks associated with sampling of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), excipients and packaging components. Identifies and escalates deviations to supervisor.
- Perform receiving, issuance, and inventory activities for Maintenance Repair Orders (MRO) from time to time.
- Must have valid Class C driver’s license to drive truck for daily deliveries across site.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, HS Diploma or higher.
- Works on assignments that are basic in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Basic knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Able to perform routine transactions using Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrate good clerical and administrative skills.
- HAZMAT shipping certification/experience is a plus.
- Experience using a ERP such as Oracle or SAP is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
