Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a Sr Prin Radar Receiver / Signal Processor Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the Unites States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

The Engineer will be expected to direct the receiver / signal processor subgroup associated with all-source specialist of foreign radar systems. The expert will be accountable for evaluating collected intelligence data and developing assessments of signal processor performance. The Engineer will assess signal processor concepts such as matched filtering, clutter mitigation practices, constant false-alarm rate (CFAR) techniques, and sidelobe blanking. The expert will coordinate with other teams to develop overall system performance capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate will possess at least a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institute or a related technical field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant work focusing on noise figure assessment, IF planning, saturation levels, digital beam-forming, stretch processing, clutter performance, dynamic range. Candidate will be expected to develop detailed block diagrams describing the postulated radar
• In addition, the Engineer should have:
  • Background with government customers and/or large prime contractors.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of briefing high-level customers and writing technical reports.

Candidate will be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Other Qualifications

Preferred knowledge / skillsets:

• History performing foreign weapon system study
• Past work developing signal processing models using engineering tools such as MATLAB or Python.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance.
