Key Qualifications

    • 7+ years experience in Product and Program Management, or similar role leading cross-functional product or software engineering teams
    • 5+ years experience bringing a product from concept to completion, experience with speech recognition or language technology is a plus
    • Deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services
    • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
    • Ability to exercise strong influence on partners and leadership to align on key product decisions
    • Strong sense of product design and user experience with the ability to balance core design principles with rapid iterations against product metrics

Description

As a Sr Product Manager in the Machine Learning Applications team, you’ll use your experience in speech recognition to address untapped customer needs, launching innovative and impactful language technology features such as Live Captions announced this year, and growing a scalable platform for language technology. You don’t settle for less; you exercise your influence to challenge the teams for building the highest quality products, and drive critical decisions across key partners from various teams at Apple. You’ll be the evangelist, problem-solver, and leader who oversees the various stages of the product development cycle, helping our engineering and machine learning teams make Apple’s machine learning features the world’s best while aligning with our strong privacy guarantees to our users. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Ideation & Definition - Lead process to define, share, and gain alignment on vision, goals, and roadmaps - Write product requirements documents supported by competitive analysis and user research to prioritize features - Define success criteria and track implementation DEVELOPMENT - Be responsible for all aspects of development, including scope, requirements, and delivery - Drive XF meetings to ensure alignment while owning tradeoff decisions as development reveals blockers - Communicate product updates to all levels in the org and present in executive reviews LAUNCH & POST-LAUNCH - Prepare launch communications with other corporate functions (product marketing, legal, security, etc.) - Prepare and run product demos to leadership and cross-functional partners at Apple - Lead pre-launch and post-launch metrics reviews to measure performance and drive product decisions

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s in CS/EE/CE or equivalent

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,000 and $207,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
