Position Summary

Trideum is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join the team. In this position you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our customers computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our customer needs to ensure these services run smoothly on a day-to-day basis ensuring secure operation throughout each location. This is a full-time position, located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist a team of professionals with successfully coordinating, planning, and executing IT requirements for large-scale distributed events and exercises.
  • Assists in analyzing, project planning, developing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing large complex systems.
  • Serve as part of a talented team of system and networks administrators and engineers who collectively demonstrate excellent technical competency and reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure and continually ensure the highest levels of accessibility, optimization, and security.
  • Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
  • Installing and configuring networking hardware.
  • Creating and implementing network security measures.
  • Managing, training, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Conducting regular network performance tests and ensuring networking maintenance tasks are completed.
  • Dealing with escalated network support issues.
  • Drawing up network diagrams and status reports.
  • Establishes networking environment by engineering, designing, installing, configuring, testing and documenting the equipment/network systems according to the design and specifications of the project plan.
  • Leads the performance of day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability within minimal interruption.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 18 year’s experience or Masters’s degree and 12 years experience in appropriate discipline. 10 years of experience in systems administration
  • Requires experience, and proven ability with Computer Networks, Windows and Linux Operating System, Network Administration, Network Installation, Computer Hardware and Software
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
  • Must possess an active Security+ Certification
  • Onsite work required and willing to work in a closed lab environment
  • US citizenship
  • Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to get TS with SCI eligibility and polygraph
