Mi-C3 is seeking a skilled, highly analytical Business Intelligence Specialist/ Report writer, to work remotely with our global teams The successful Business Intelligence Specialist/ Report writer will be responsible for creating reports for data created in the Affectli system, our Flagship software.

This role provides deep technical and business support for all aspects of data acquisition, data analysis, data interpretation, and interactive data visualizations. The role enables us to assist our clients to extract greater value from raw datasets that are varied in their composition, that are growing constantly, and tend to get more complex over time. At its core, we help our clients visualize their data in new and more informative ways than ever before.

The candidate will have an advanced understanding of SQL, ETL tools, data ingestion, data discovery & analysis, data cleansing, data transformation, data modelling, and data visualization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Understand ETL concepts of data flow, data enrichment, data consolidation and transformation
• Understand database concepts of referential integrity, indexes and keys and table metadata
• Ability to design and develop Data Warehouse ETL processes and associated reporting
• Architect, design (including data model), develop, implement, and maintain code for ETL Transformation
• Architect and design queries to enable complex report construction - understanding that these are informed by business and other analytical demands..
• Expertise in one or more of these areas: data security, data storage, data ingestion, data streaming, data processing, data analysis & exploration, data quality, data visualization (using reporting & business intelligence), business process management/business rules processing, data exchange, or data modeling.
• Ability to collaborate with Business Analysts/ BPE’s and architects to analyze business requirements, develop data model strategies and develop technical design specifications

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Database - Intermediate to advanced skills for doing SQL database queries and associated functions
• Database - Exposure to Time Series Database technologies such as Druid would be advantageous
• Familiarity with alternative data storage and transfer format such as JSON advantageous
• Familiarity with GraphQL advantageous
• Transformation tool - Experience with a transformation tool such as Pentaho Data Integration (kettle, database AND spoon) would be advantageous, but is not a necessity
• Report writer tools - Experience with Reporting tools such as SuperSet, Pentaho, Tableau, or similar.
• Source control: Experience using Git version control software would be advantageous
