Parts Counterperson to join our growing Parts Department team. We're looking for individuals who are ready to go to work and are willing to learn what it takes to provide excellent customer service. Job Details - RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
As a
Parts Counterperson, we are looking for individuals that understand high-level customer service, can diagnose the needs of our customers and have the ability to follow through with the sale from start to finish. Taking care of our customers is our highest priority.
Responsibilities are as followed, but not limited to:
- Complete and oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Payment collection from customers
- Communicate with team members and customers on orders, deliveries, issues or concerns, and payment collection
- Using parts lookup platforms (web and literature) to acquire desired parts for customer or service department
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and converse in a professional manner to present customers
- Review orders and backorders to verify quantities and pricing are correct
- TEAMWORK – Working with team members to provide the highest level of customer service
- Pull and fill customer or service department orders
- Route delivery of customer order
- Assisting with inventory validation
- Contributing to departmental production and profitability goals
- Ability to apply common sense when needed, while staying within Kansas City Peterbilt’s guidelines
Job Requirements:
- Some heavy lifting is required (40lbs+).
- Promotes and maintains a positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within the department.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive resourcefulness & versatility in a fast-paced, priority-changing, environment.
- Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
