Job Description:
As a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern at AiTA Bio, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the development of our 2-in-1 drug delivery and analyte sensing medical device. You will be involved in a range of activities including, but not limited to:
- Building, testing and troubleshooting medical device prototypes
- Conducting research and analysis to support the development of new products
- Assisting with the design and development of mechanical components and systems
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to design and testing
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met
- Participating in design reviews and providing feedback
- Conducting tests and experiments to validate product performance and reliability
- Participating in the development of manufacturing processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.2
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
This is a paid internship position offering $28 to $35/hr depending on qualifications and experience that will provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the medical device industry.
