The health and well being of our flocks is everybody's business. As Barns Housekeeper you will exercise proper handling techniques of our birds, you will always be aware of the environment, you will ensure proper water levels are always available to our hens and continuously monitor feed levels and the egg belt while in operation. A Barn Housekeeper will also keep the Lay Houses clean and do minor maintenance repair work as needed. (Replace light bulbs, curtains, etc.)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Continuously look for and properly attend sick or injured birds
• Dispose of deceased birds properly
• Ensure proper feed levels and feed system operation
• Monitor birds water
• Ensure housing system is in proper working condition
• Clean egg pans under lubing and Niagra daily
• Scrape and sweep front, back and all aisles daily
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Physical demands and work environment
• Continuously be on your feet
• Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb utilizing company provided equipment
