GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer Advisor to support Trusted Third Party (TTP) that will develop, enhance, and maintain a solution to automate on-prem and cloud provisioning, configuration. and management tasks, leveraging COTS products and a suite of software customizations, tools, and automated playbooks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain a solution to automate the creation of GOLD images for on-prem and cloud virtual infrastructure.
- Participate in and/or provide technical leadership for Agile/Scrum DevSecOps teams to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams to build and configure high performing, scalable, hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
- Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 5+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience
- 3 years experience applying secure software development best practices to non-trivial software projects.
- 3 years experience deploying and monitoring infrastructure and applications in at least one of Microsoft Azure, VMware vSphere/ESXi, or AWS.
- Usage of Git (one of CodeCommit, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, etc.) in a team setting, including specific experience with branching, merging, and pushing one’s own code changes to a Git repository.
- Experience with development of scripts in at least one of: Linux command-line interface (Bash), Windows PowerShell, Python, Groovy, JavaScript.
- Experience with troubleshooting software systems involving multiple servers/systems, tools, and complex software-defined networks.
- Have effective verbal and written communication with peers and clients.
- Ability to work in a geographically distributed, open and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing scalable cloud-based environments and systems; service-oriented architectures; deploying resilient, scalable, high-throughput systems that process large amounts of data.
- Experience using monitoring and logging tools to diagnose failure modes. • Developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and automated testing.
- Experience using Ansible Tower, Morpheus Cloud Management Platform or CloudBolt, Splunk, CrowdStrike, VMware vSphere/ESXi, automated Azure VM provisioning (CLI/API).
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer, EC2, CodePipeline
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, and ECS
