Description

Under close supervision, assists with the tracking and monitoring of the reliability and production of the plant or fleet. Provides recommendations and guidance for execution of methods, engineering solutions, tactics and strategies for enhancing the overall reliability and production of the plant or fleet.
  • Leads brain-storming and fact finding sessions at the crew level and researches proven external solutions to similar crew issues
  • Implements lessons learned and best practices from other sites and external parties at the crew level
  • Influences and motivates change in operational behavior and processes at a crew level
  • Makes observations, reports and root cause analysis to Senior Innovation Engineer regarding continuous improvement opportunities on assigned crews
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline with no experience required.
  • Exposure to probability, statistical analysis and reliability engineering
  • Ability to research and interpret data of minimal complexity using hypothesis generation and Design of Experiment methodologies
  • Knowledge of software tools (Python, R, SQL, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the processes, costs, schedules, constraints and deliverables of assigned crews to improve safety, process efficiencies, production rates, cost controls and protection of the environment
  • Knowledge of the equipment and associated SOPs at a crew level.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Preferred
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in an applicable engineering discipline
  • Six Sigma experience or certification
  • Experience working in a Maintenance, Operations or Engineering Role
  • Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Experience working in SAP or Business Objects
  • Experience using Python, R, SQL and Excel
Criteria/Conditions
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the workday
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

Compensation:

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $84,000-$116,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
