Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities:
THIS IS A CASUAL POSITION WORKING A MAXIMUM OF 900 HOURS PER CALENDAR YEAR.
The Learning and Organizational Development Division (LOD) is looking for students interested in a fast paced, exciting summer intern opportunity to support our LOD team. The Undergraduate LOD Intern will work under the direct supervision of a manager & mentor completing challenging work assignments in support of project planning and assignments for New Hire Experience Program, as well as the Student Program. Work is comprised of daily assignments to support projects, and contributions to broader strategic LOD, HR and BizOps initiatives. Internship is available at the North Las Vegas, Nevada campus.
We are looking for qualified and motivated students majoring in:
Business Administration
- Communications
- Instructional Design/Training
- Support LOD on Various taska and initiatives
- Support May involve working in one or more of the following organizations:
- LOD Division
- Student Program
- New Hire Experience Program
- Responsibilities can include:
- Web conferencing producer
- Coordination of training sessions
- Follow-up with Employees and Managers
- Creating communications and presentations for the Student Programs and New Hire Experience
- Developing and/or improving processes
- Assisting the programs during different phases of the project plan

Qualifications:
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Completion of the first year in a related degree program at an accredited institution. The declared degree must pertain to the organizational unit to which the individual will be assigned.
- Must be actively enrolled in school.
- Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. (upload of current transcripts required).

- Planning and organizational skills and initiative
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Have self-motivating attitude
- Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong computer skills are desired, including MS Office, TEAMS, and SharePoint
- Additional Skills
- Basic Web conferencing skills, a plus
- Facilitation and Presentation skills, a plus
- A pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘
Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘
Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Hourly range for this position is $15.00 - $20.44.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
