Job Description


Reporting to the Service Manager, this position will help to provide aftermarket software support to ensure high customer satisfaction with our Imagining and Analysis equipment.

  • Provides technical assistance to both customers and Field Service Repair Engineers for software related issues via telephone, email, and remote diagnostic (with occasional travel to customer sites)
  • Assists in training Field Sales and Service Repair Engineers in operation and maintenance of Buehler's software platforms
  • Solves customer problems with minimum supervision through problem resolution and bug tracking
  • Recommends changes to products and documentation based on customer feedback to improve reliability, maintainability, serviceability, and usability
  • Works with the Software Development team to test and release updates and new software products
  • Responsible for updating, maintaining and using software technical information to create training documents

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in computer science, software, or a related field
  • Experience in backend SQL server support (C#) for hardware equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary when speaking with internal and external customers (team player mindset, good demeanor, positive attitude, and courteous)
  • Ability to view and interpret log files
  • Self-motivated while working independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to multi-task while managing multiple support issues, tasks, and projects
  • Takes an active role in meeting responsibility with a “can do” attitude
  • Actively understands and embraces customer satisfaction tenets
  • Understanding and ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio at an intermediate level
  • Occasional travel may be required – up to 25%
