WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for experienced Software Engineer to be part of a mission critical team passionate about building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant supply chain platform that drive Nike’s Digital transformation and growth strategies. The Software Engineer works as part of the software engineering team.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will support critically important platforms across Inventory, Order Management, Fulfillment and Logistics. The squad you contribute to will own multiple microservice based platforms that use in-house solutions or best of breed third party packages to deliver value to our consumers. You will build distributed system designs, RESTful API’s and infrastructure via code.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will work with globally distributed teams across product, program, architecture and engineering. You will work within your squad to deliver end to end solutions. You will partner with architects and other teams to ensure that the ecosystem of services remains loosely coupled and independently scalable. You will report into the Engineering Manager for Transportation


WHAT YOU BRING?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years software development experience crafting, developing, and testing sophisticated solutions and code in Web technologies such as Java, Python, Groovy, Node.js or similar.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment e.g., Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure etc. (AWS preferred: EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Load balancers, Route53)
  • 3+ years of hands-on Experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using Java (java 8 or higher). Additional Python knowledge is preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Experience with Spring framework and Spring Boot
  • 3+ years of hands-on Experience with Containers in orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS or EKS
  • 3+ years of hands-on Experience with AWS provisioning such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • 2+ years of Experience of using version control systems (GIT), issue tracking tools (Jira), and CI/CD related tools (Jenkins, TeamCity etc.)
  • Experience with Bash, Shell scripting.
  • Experience working with NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.
  • Experience working with relational data stores like MySQL, Oracle etc.
  • Experience with database tools like DBeaver
  • Experience with supervising and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, New Relic etc.
  • Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.
  • Exposure to front-end development tools such as React, Vue or Angular
  • Ability to define solutions, provide estimates of effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility.
  • Ability to conduct performance monitoring/tuning and analyze performance against benchmarks.
  • Solid understanding of Scrum and agile principles
  • Dedication to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews.
  • Delivery excellence in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, multi-discipline development team environment
  • Comfortable working with globally distributed diverse teams to ensure the service ecosystem is loosely coupled and scalable.
  • Excellent foundation in data structures, algorithms, software design patterns and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience in low level designing and implementing highly scalable web applications.
  • Goods understanding of the overall supply chain and exposure to domain areas like inventory management, order management, logistics management, warehouse management, carrier/vendor management.
  • Exposure to implementing or integrating with enterprise scale packages like SAP S4, IBM Sterling, Manhattan WMS, TMS
  • Remote Work Option –open to remote work except cannot work in the following locations: SD,VT, and WV. These candidates will be required to relocate.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $109,500 in our lowest geographic market to $217,000 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience. Information about benefits
