Job Description

Trouvaille Imports is searching for a Retail Salesperson that will assist customers with purchasing antique, vintage and handmade artisans that have been sourced from all over the world. Every piece us unique, one of a kind and has a story to tell. The ideal candidate for this position will have the desire to help customers find a treasure for their home or business.

Responsibilities:

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
• Answers customer’s questions about merchandise.
• Assists customers with purchase decisions.
• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations; places special orders.
• Collects payment using the store point of sale system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to lift office products and supplies up to 45 pounds.

Education and Experience:

• Must be 18 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or higher
• Minimum of 2 years of retail sales experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
