Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer! You will play a key role in building beautiful, clean, and simple applications. You’ll assist in managing the development of the next generation of infrastructure.

Candidates must demonstrate strong technical knowledge with a passion for service. You are expected to combine innovation with a dedication and focus on inspiring the DevOps team to build products that embody the company’s philosophy.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure (as code)
  • Support on-premises hardware and software infrastructure
  • Build and maintain custom solutions
  • Support migration of on-premises monolithic application infrastructure to cloud-based microservices
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems
  • Synthesize multiple solutions to a problem
  • Help peers become their best coding selves
  • Perform code reviews and ensure code meets our standards for exceptional quality
  • Help drive innovation by contributing new ideas for our processes, tools, and technologies
  • Possess expert knowledge and best practices for complexity, maintainability, performance, scalability, flexibility, enterprise system architecture, and other trade offs

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be based in the USA. This position is not open to other countries at this time
  • 3+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is required.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is essential.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is important.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is usually required.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack is essential.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders, is essential for success as a DevOps Engineer.
