Outstanding opportunity to join a national leader in Neuroscience. The Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare has a new opportunity available for a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join our Advanced Practice team.

Practice autonomously, but collaboratively with a trusted team of attending neurosurgeons and APPs providing care to the full spectrum of neurosurgery at a level 1 tertiary care hospital. This position involves enhanced, inter-disciplinary, hands-on training across all clinical and procedural aspects of the role.

• • Managing all aspects of care for neurosurgical spine and cranial patients in the inpatient setting.
  • Flexible scheduling with rotating inpatient 24/7 team coverage

• • Perform admissions, progress notes, bedside procedures, consultations, peri-operative care, and discharges.
  • First assisting in the operating room for cranial and spine patients.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• Current CT PA license required.
• Baccalaureate Degree is required.
• BE/BC Neurologist with Surgical background preferred (trauma, general, or neuro)
