Luxury Movie Theatre- Now Hiring!
Landmark Theatres is the largest national exhibitor of foreign language and independently produced first-run movies in the U.S. We are currently hiring Theatre Staff for our new location, Scottsdale Quarter located in Scottsdale, Arizona!
Our employees represent the personality of our theatre, and we are looking for flexible and adaptable staff that possesses an eye for detail and a love of film.
Essential job duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assisting our guests efficiently, courteously, and accurately
- Cleaning and maintaining theatre facilities, including food preparation areas, auditoriums, and other facilities
- Supporting a friendly, cinema-centric, guest service-oriented atmosphere through daily interactions with teammates and guests
- Displaying and cultivating a passion for our company and the general film community
- Understanding and applying any applicable health codes, alcohol service laws and/or food-service guidelines
- Greet and welcome each customer
- Use point of sale system to accurately process transactions and payments
- Assist customers with hard of hearing and issue closed caption devices (in-theatre set up), knowledgeable of amenities associated with each film.
- Report safety and security concerns to management (trip hazards, lights outs, broken seats)
Box Office
- Assist with movie/seat selection and answer general questions
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide general theatre information
- Responsible for accuracy of cash drawer, passes, vouchers, refunds/exchanges, and inventory
Concession:
- Upselling and suggestive selling concession items with each transaction
- Use point of sale system to accurately process transactions and payments
- Operating and maintaining all concession and kitchen equipment
- Perform daily opening and closing duties in assigned areas
- Receiving and putting away deliveries (stock)
- Knowledgeable of concession products and offerings
Usher/Ticket Taker:
- Auditorium Announcements (greeting, promotions, and safety information)
- Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, auditoriums, restrooms and back of house areas
- Assist customers with locating their reserved seat
- Control theatre access by ensuring customers have the appropriate tickets and direct customers to the correct auditorium
- Perform auditorium checks to monitor picture, sound quality, temperature, and general atmosphere including disruptive behavior (talking, cell phone usage, suspicious activity, etc.)

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be available during peak business hours (Nights, Weekend, and Holidays).
- Cash handling experience is preferred
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills resulting in creative ways to improve operations and resolve guest challenges
- Sharing enthusiasm and passion for the cinema, the arts, our business, and our company
- A positive attitude and contributing to a teamwork-oriented team
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for a long period of time
- Ability to comply with attendance and dress code policy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
