Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

• Drive and deliver feature roadmap items on schedule.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily scrum meetings, and deliver sprint commitments on time.
• Collaborate in large-scale distributed systems design discussions.
• Design and develop software in Java and Python.
• Employ test driven development practices as part of the development process.
• Perform operational activities to ensure that services are running optimally.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As a member of the team, you will be expected to contribute to the design and implement high quality, well-architected software products with a specific focus on hybrid cloud, distributed systems, scalability, elasticity and SLA guarantees. In this role you are expected to interact with Architects, Product Managers, User Experience, Solution Architects to discuss and collaborate strategies for enhancing features and to come up with the next generation products. Critical thinking and having a positive attitude towards learning is a must as you will be driving and delivering key roadmap items.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $101,000 - $230,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. VMware offers comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision plans, company paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
