Expected Duration: 12 weeks, June 19, 2023 ‐ September 15, 2023.
Schedule: Weekends Required (Full‐time, Wednesday‐Sunday or Friday‐Tuesday).

Summary:
Interns will support the Marketing & Sales department working on the creation, development, project management, execution, and follow-up of programs and promotions at select retail partners throughout Southern California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
- Complete entry‐ to intermediate‐level tasks, required to achieve day‐to‐day operating objectives of the department and company.
- Interact directly with external and internal resources utilizing these for the resolution of day‐to‐day issues.
- Conduct original research and prepare reports based on findings, including recommendations or alternative proposals for action as requested.
- Coordinate and manage off‐site promotions and events. Including but not limited to:
- Planning, procuring, and packing supplies needed
- Conducting and/or attending training sessions
- Assist with the preparation and sampling of fresh produce items
- Represent the company to retail partners, consumers, and clients in a courteous, professional manner at off‐site promotions and events.
- Respond effectively to inquiries received from external resources, phone, email, social media, web, etc.
- Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
- Additional duties may be described and assigned as appropriate.
Education & Other Requirements:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent. Current attendance with an accredited college or university, working towards a degree (B.A./B.S.) in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, Agriculture, or Business. Restaurant, food service, server, and/or event management experience is a plus.
- Must be available to work on Friday, Saturday & Sunday (weekends); Weekday schedules may be flexible.
- Local travel is expected; a valid California Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance are required.
This internship is a chance to experience the produce industry through a wide range of projects and daily tasks and will allow you the opportunity to apply concepts from the classroom to the business world.
