St. John the Evangelist School, located in Severna Park, is seeking qualified candidates for a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2023-24 school year. The kindergarten teaching position is one of 3 teachers on the kindergarten team and works will a full day instructional assistant in the classroom. The position is self-contained classroom and includes instruction in math, ELA, social studies, science, and religion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementing lessons in alignment with the Archdiocesan curriculum and the rigor of the assigned learning group.
• Efficient and effective assessing of students and evaluation of data for use in guiding instruction.
• Positive and affirming collaboration with students and faculty members.
• Duties may include homeroom assignment, recess, lunch, or other daily or weekly responsibilities.
• Ongoing professional development related to subject area in addition to catechesis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree minimum – Master’s preferred
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• MSDE Certified
• Must be a practicing Catholic
