Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced hairdresser for our upscale independent senior living community. The Hair Dresser will provide hair and beauty services to our residents with the highest level of professionalism and sensitivity. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working with seniors in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored hairdressing services to seniors in an upscale environment.

• Perform haircuts, styling, color, highlights, perms, and other chemical treatment work.

• Keep styling, cutting, and coloration knowledge and techniques up-to-date to provide top-quality service.

• Maintains a clean, hygienic and safe work area following sanitation and disinfection regulations.

• Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.

• Assist residents with product recommendations and sales.

• Keep accurate records of services performed and sales made.

• Participate in community events and promotions as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a State-recognized cosmetology school.

• Valid state-issued cosmetologist license.

• At least 2 years of salon experience.

• Ability to communicate professionally and sensitively with seniors.

• Knowledge of current hair styling and cutting techniques.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move around easily.

• Clean and tidy appearance.

• Able to work on weekends and holidays if needed.
