The FP&A team plays a key role in reconciling ENGIE's growth ambitions, long-term shareholder value creation objectives and day to day delivery. Our role is to provide analysis and forecast from origination, business, construction and operation in order to maintain the financial performance of all our assets.


The position sits in Houston, TX and reports to the VP, Head of Finance Business Partner.


What you’ll do:

Planning:
  • Analyze financial performance: conduct review of monthly results and suggest corrective actions.
  • Directs the development, preparation, coordination and presentation of annual budgets, re-forecasts and medium-term business plans, bringing together efforts with other divisions.
  • Manage key financial processes, including forecasting, budget planning, performance reporting, and others.
  • Architect financial commentaries and documents to support key financial deliverables.
  • Develop new processes or improve existing processes relating to financial planning/reporting.
  • Develop metrics to track team-specific and company-wide trends, identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels.

Analysis:
  • Engages across the organization to coordinate deliverables and to a maintain high level of understanding of the business as necessary to communicate best estimates/early warnings, as well as to respond quickly to ad hoc questions/requests from senior management
  • Apply an analytical approach to influence strategic decision-making, with a focus on capital allocation decisions and long-term financial planning
  • Month-end Closing and Reporting:
  • Perform all requested validations to ensure the quality of the monthly closing
  • Month end-reporting: Margins, expenses, capex, cash flow, Key Performance Indicators, etc.

Analysis result
  • Analyze monthly P&L variances versus Budget & Last Year, prepare commentary and recommend corrective actions
  • Margin variance analysis: deep understanding of elements (energy price, hedging, volume, billable revenue, etc)
  • Project costs and expenses tracking
  • Capex Spending & Milestones
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary to important partners including executive meetings, management team and outside clients

Development & Improvement:

  • Designing and re-imagining all standard analyses, reporting, and finance-based decision support tools
  • Financial reporting including monthly reviews with Corporate executive management teams and detailed reviews with leadership teams
  • Serving as strategic partner to the executive financial team. Align strategic initiatives to long range operational plans
  • Oversee and perform ad hoc projects for executives on an as needed basis
  • Participation in cross-functional projects:
  • Support local team by sharing financial knowledge and providing Finance for non-financials
  • Ensure accuracy of the reporting tool in SAP (S4, SAC, BFC, BW) and liaise with IT for new developments/issues
  • Identifies and implements business process improvements to help facilitate data flows to/from financial reporting systems to produce more efficient and relevant outputs and to enhance the control environment

What you bring:
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field required
  • Bachelor's degree is required, Preferred MBA in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Strong computer skills (Advanced Excel proficiency required)
  • Knowledge of SAP (S4, Analytical Cloud, Fiori) a plus, expertise in financial modeling
  • Must possess strong analytical, initiative, adaptability, hands-on, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are key for cross-functional collaboration and exposure to senior leadership
  • Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced work environment
  • Project Management a plus

The pay range for this role is: $92,395 - $236,600.


The listed salary range represents ENGIE’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their work location, and additional factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package and certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
