The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to lead the resource and expense planning process while supporting revenue and business planning. In this role, you will be heavily involved in various finance needs of the company, such as data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. You will play a key role in the quarterly forecast and annual planning processes at GitKraken.

What You’ll Do:

• Take direct responsibility for managing resource and expense planning across our business, and collecting and organizing departmental inputs.
• Take part in business planning for this Saas software business, building and managing models to predict growth, recurring revenue, and profitability
• Support the finance department with ongoing analysis and forecasting for individual products and the overall company.
• Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, all-hands presentations, and other ad hoc reporting.
• Create KPI dashboards and reports to provide analytics and transparency across the organization

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A and accounting in a private equity backed or corporate Saas environment
• Proven experience building long-term financial models and ability to create & maintain a three-statement financial model
• Proficient financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience in financial reporting and financial statement review and analysis
  
• Ability to provide context for data for non-finance people with advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple projects and a willingness to learn
• Ability to thrive in environments where change is constant, fast-paced, and often under deadlines
• Ability to work with large data sets and automate conversion into usable business information
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into consolidated, compelling messages

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Planful and NetSuite, or similar planning and financial reporting tools
• Experience using Power Query and PowerPivot in Excel
• Experience in writing SQL Queries and related analysis
• Experience using HRIS (preferably BambooHR)

Location:

GitKraken is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and we would love to have this person be local to our main office for a hybrid approach of remote & in-office work.
