Koniag Management Solutions (KMS), a Koniag Government Services Company, is seeking a Cyber Security Summer Intern to support KMS and our government customer.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Partner with our team to understand Cyber Security practices, customer needs and government mandates.
  • Complete all required government and KMS mandatory trainings where applicable
  • Provide support to our Cyber Security team as directed by the Program Manager
  • Support project coordination, security analysis and documentation for contract specific program areas.
  • Work with assigned team members to understand how to interpret government security regulations and update documentation.
  • Works on security assessment tasks as prescribed and meticulously follow processes and guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and coordinates team tasks.
  • Assist in all duties required for completion and submission of reports to government agencies.
  • Assist in functions related to the briefing and debriefing of Cyber Security staff.
  • Manages team task boards and runs work planning sessions when needed.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Business and/or Computer Science with intended completion by Spring 2026
  • Prior Intern technical experience is preferred
  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.75 / 4.0)
  • Technical skills include cyber security analytics and/or software programing
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel)
  • Strong organization and documentation skills.
Office Location and Travel:
  • Candidate will provide their own office workspace location and high-speed internet connection
  • No travel requirements
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
