Job Description:

This internship role provides students the opportunity to learn and gain experience with the development of cost estimates and assist in negotiations and audits, and analysis of various cost factors.

  • Supports the quoting activity of the Contracts, Sales & Engineering Groups with cost estimates
  • Pulls data from multiple computer systems to produce coherent and supportable estimates of present and future costs
  • Complies with government regulations FAR and DFAR as well as company policies
  • Understands the difference between standard and actual cost accounting principles
  • Has a business acumen, ability to analyze costing results and reasonableness


Required Skills
  • Strong analytical experience for gross margin analysis
  • Attention to details and flexible outlook
  • Good organizational, data collection and multi-tasking skills
  • Tenacious, inquisitive, driven, and a sense of urgency
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP Software experience


Required Experience
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Math
  • GPA of 3.2 or above preferred.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer 2023 semester.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., visa sponsorship not available.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and thoroughly attentive to detail in all actions.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate across all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently and still meet deadlines assigned.
