Job Description

La Grange is a casual restaurant & patio bar with craft beer, craft cocktails and coastal Mexican cuisine right in the heart of Montrose, Texas.

Our ideal candidates will provide timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, that they will want to return.

Other responsibilities include:

• Food service alongside of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
• Check-in with guests following order delivery.
• Guest payments: credit card transactions and cash handling
• Verification of guest age for consumption of alcoholic beverages
• Presentation of food and drink menus – being well versed in product knowledge to enhance guest experience.
• Service of food items while upholding food handling standards
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after having received them into the POS.
• Recognize and learn the names of regular guests – attain new regular customers
• Clean and sterilize plates, glasses, and utensils
• Clean and stock server stations with straws, glasses, soft drinks, menus, and other service-ready items
• Clean and reset tables. Full hands in – full hands out!
• Garnish cocktail orders from bar
• Maintain cleanliness of establishment (sweeping, moping, bathrooms, windows…)
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant. Fill in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Pay: $7.25 - $30.00 per hour
