Civil Engineering Consultants, in Riverdale, Utah is seeking a full-time senior AutoCAD designer/drafter. The candidate shall have a minimum of seven (7) years of civil drafting experience and be highly qualified in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D. The candidate should be highly motivated with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of setting up and using CADD templates, layer management skills, expertise in building a library, and ability to conceptually understand and demonstrate a creative process, ability to provide attention to detail.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for preparing drawings, layouts and designs according to engineers’ design and redlines. Import survey data and create surfaces, existing contours and proposed contours, plan and profile drawings, input water, sewer, storm water pipe networks for the alignments. The candidate will work closely with the engineers to prepare the design from all stages of a project (feasibility design layout, design layout, design modifications to the final as-constructed design plan). Previous experience with municipal projects is preferred but not required. Additional responsibilities include assisting with preparing cost estimate and contractor payment requests.
