You will have the chance to form lasting relationships, encourage positive behavior, and design activities to promote the overall welfare of participants, all while increasing your knowledge of social work, behavioral studies, and management skills. We believe that personal relationships hold the key to changing behavior, and we place our trust in our passionate team of BHTs. Direct Service BHTs are a big part of our client's treatment team, including therapists, caseworkers, probation officers, legal guardians, etc.

We encourage the development of healthy relationships and personal growth through group and individual treatment programs. Our mentors and clinicians work closely with the client's treatment teams, families, and guardians to ensure they receive the most effective services.
Our Direct Services program is available for clients from early childhood to youth and teens, all through adulthood, with locations in Phoenix, Peoria, Chandler, Tempe, and Casa Grande. We provide treatment focusing on individual goals, family support, health & wellness, life skills development, and emotion management.

New Horizon Community Care (NHCC) is a non-profit agency specializing in residential and outpatient behavioral health services, serving at-risk children, teens, and adults all around the valley.
Established in 2001, NHCC has developed a programming structure that challenges, encourages, and empowers clients to enhance their self-esteem and modify their behaviors to become productive community members. Clients participate in activities, groups, and life lessons that help them assess their internal strengths and capabilities and improve decision-making skills.

Minimum Requirements:
*APPLICANTS MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE CRIMINAL HISTORY SELF-DISCLOSURE AFFIDAVITS AND OBTAIN AN ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) LEVEL 1 FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE CARD, WHICH INVOLVES A STATE AND FEDERAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.*

The Teacher in Resident is a last year internship program for a student in a university education program or a new graduate. 3 years of college related credit.
