What are we looking for?

As an Oracle DBA, you will be joining a team of data professionals that focus on expanding and optimizing data warehousing and pipeline architectures. You will be working collaboratively to design, develop, and optimize data flow and collection with a cross functional team to deliver cutting edge data solutions to IntelliBridge customers. You will use your data wrangling and pipeline building skills to optimize data systems or build new data ecosystems from the ground up. Your team will include fellow data scientists, visualization experts, and architects all working towards maturing and expanding IntelliBridge data solutions. As a member of a project delivery team, you will collaborate with project and product managers, user experience designers, and business analysts.

Basic Requirements:

Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with coursework in technology-related subjects.

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Shall have a minimum of five (5) years in modern data development, upgrading, support and design. Experience requirements may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus three (3) years of experience in modern data development, upgrading, support, and design.
  • Shall have experience in establishing performance and statistical monitoring of enterprise databases to include, but not limited to: wellness checks, data integrity, privacy and security scans, database optimization, backup, and recovery procedures, and experience with data migration and data integration processes
  • Shall have experience in supporting cloud database environments, specifically AWS (i.e., EC2, S3, Neptune or Redshift) to include backup and archiving of data and software containerization and Agile development processes.
  • Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and database design.
  • Good understanding of database scalability and performance issues and how to resolve them.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, database triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Experience working with Liquibase.
  • Exceptional communication skills with emphasis on effectively communicating detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Experience working in collaborative sessions, while demonstrating strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to recognize problems and opportunities and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of potential solutions to problems.
  • Shall also have three (3) years of experience in Troubleshooting database-related issues and providing technical support to developers which may overlap with the experience requirements above.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Expected to possess proficiency in manipulating data for analytical assessments; be proficient with Microsoft tools, specifically Excel; possess experience with programing languages such as Python, Java, java script, and SQL. This particular position requires expertise in configuring Oracle databases.
  • Manage database security, including applying regular patches to all environments, mitigating vulnerabilities, setting up user accounts and managing access controls.
  • Support system with database optimization, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Support with data migration and data integration processes.
  • Support USCIS with data calls and batch data updates.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support to development teams, including creating and modifying tables
