Get ready to have fun! We train our program instructors to conduct ‘wow’ lessons with kids during an after school experience in Detroit Public Schools designed to engage curious minds in grade bands: k-2nd, 3rd-5th, and/or 6th -8th.
During each session, you will utilize your passion for youth and knowledge of elementary concepts. You will work with a team of fellow instructors to establish a positive and memorable experience for each and every child by using the established No Fear Cafe curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience in STEM, arts and crafts, math, OR science, and youth education. This is a great opportunity for a flexible team player with a positive attitude and engaging communication and teaching skills.
Position hours are from September 2022 to May 2023, Monday-Thursday,
Placement A - 4:10 - 5:45pm
Placement B - 2:45 - 3:45pm
