Water Truck Driver

Hourly Rate: $19 - $22 per hour

SUMMARY

Drives water truck with capacity of 3,000 gallons, to transport water to and from specified destinations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The criteria for evaluation in this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Drive truck to destination in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist crew with other tasks when not operating water truck.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with appropriate supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Responsible for loading truck either from water tower or from designated source.
• Responsible for applying water to construction area either for dust control or to help achieve compaction of construction materials.
• Assigned to be either "over the road" or limited to a construction site.
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Responsible for daily inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Ability to follow directions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a Commercial Drivers License, Class A and tanker endorsement in accordance with 49 CFR 383.91: heavy straight vehicle (Group B) .
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a current DOT Medical Qualification.
• Air brake skills test required for all vehicles that have air brakes.
• Must meet Driver Qualification Standards for RK Hall Construction.

• RK Hall, LLC conducts post-conditional offer background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
