Job Description


AECOM
is seeking a Sustainability Intern to be based in Orange, CA

This position is expected to begin in June 2023

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • The candidate must have a strong interest in green buildings, sustainability. Knowledge of green building certification and energy modeling would be beneficial.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be attending an accredited program pursuing Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, building physics, or environmental science.
  • Must have completed 2 year of study.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in Sustainability certification schemes (such as LEED, Envision)
  • Understanding of low and zero-carbon building technologies
  • Knowledge in graphics software such as InDesign, illustrator etc.
  • In their last year of college or a recent graduate with a Bachelors or Masters degree in the relevant field.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate problems clearly.
  • Desire to work in a team-based project environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Passionate for sustainability

Additional Information
  • Relocation is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship is available for this position.
  • Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $24 - $33/hr.
