Job Description
Commercial Public Works Superintendent (Conc & Stl Bldg Bkgrnd).
We are a high-quality, multi-generation, family-based, commercial general contractor in the foothills East of Folsom. We are looking to hire a commercial superintendent to bring on board. We run a combination of public works as well as private negotiated projects. Our superintendents are expected to be knowledgeable about methods of construction that include ground-up commercial and institutional construction using pre-engineered metal buildings, structural steel superstructures, and conventional wood frame construction.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent on public works projects.
- Demonstratable experience running concrete crew.
- Demonstratable experience running metal building crew.
- Must have knowledge of computer scheduling programs (MS Project or P6) and basic scheduling principles.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, soils reports, and other documents necessary to complete the work.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Team player, humble and kind, attitude.
- Self-accountability. Constant drive to improve.
- References to verify experience are required.
Job Locations: From Davis to Tahoe and from Chico to Modesto.
Job Details:
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Prepare weekly project schedules for owners and 3 week “look a head” for subcontractors.
- Monitor quality control for all work.
- Monitor and guide company labor workforce to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Prepare and coordinate RFI’s with project team.
- Review submittals for conformance and coordinate with related trades.
- Review plans and specifications and identify potential issues in advance of work being completed.
- Schedule required inspections with local jurisdictions.
- Take responsibility for safety requirements and conduct weekly safety meetings.
- Maintain daily logs and photos.
- Assist in preparing punch lists and coordinate its completion.
- Occasional bags on, physical work may be required.

Schedule:
