The St. Paul Grill in downtown St. Paul is hiring immediately for Stewards.

This position maintains the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and concessions work areas, storerooms and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Leads and directs work of dish staff to ensure smooth operations including set up, service, and clean up, providing organization, instruction and guidance.

Sets up catering serving and clearing stations.

Completes equipment pulls prior to events.

Transports food and supplies to catering service areas.

Assists in plating food for catering functions.

Assists in preparing fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses for salads, cold plates and garnishes.

Scrapes food from dirty dishes/equipment and washes by hand or in a dishwashing machine. Cleans all work areas and takes out trash.

Maintains organization and cleanliness of all storage areas.

Inspects and verifies all food, beverage and supplies received under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Job Requirements

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including frequent walking, standing, and lifting/carrying of up to 50 pounds.
