Job Description

Global industry leader is looking to hire a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for testing Web Applications & API. Involved in Functional & Automated Testing and Agile Software Development Approach.

The Senior QA Analyst must be able to read and understand Jira stories with complex business rules and logic and complex UI visualization requirements, then create test cases and steps that thoroughly test all scenarios.

· Minimum 8 years of experience in QA testing large and complex line-of-business applications.

· Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) to interact with users, developers, business analysts, and IT Management.

· Analyze documentation and technical specifications of enhancements and bug fixes to determine its intended functionality for testability and verification.

· Experience analyzing functionality by running and being extremely hands-on with the application.

· Create thorough and detailed test plans and test cases from agile stories, bugs, etc. Must be able to identify happy path test cases and edge test cases.

· Manually execute test cases against the application.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.

· Collaborate cross functionally with software/systems personnel (BA’s, PM’s, Developers) in application testing

· Cleary communicate test progress, results, challenges, roadblocks, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.

· Create and manually execute thorough black box, white box, functional and regression test cases and negative test cases.

· Perform extensive, deep debugging of applications to discover the root cause of defects/errors

As a Quality Assurance Engineer – you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing requirements, specifications and technical design documents and provide estimates.
  • Creating test plans, strategies & test cases to attain 100% test coverage & developing & executing automation scripts.
  • Documenting bug reports following agreed-upon processes upon discovery of quality problems & ensure minimal bug leakage
  • Managing and guiding a team of developers

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a graduate in Computer Science or Engineering, with a minimum 5-8 yrs of professional experience
  • Have good knowledge of SW QA methodologies, tools & processes & experience writing comprehensive test plans & cases.
  • Have hands-on experience in any of the tools- JIRA/Azure DevOps and good to have knowledge on Jenkins

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
