12-Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor with Respirator Required - Production - Clinton, IA
This is a full-time, exempt position.

Job Summary:
Manages shift production to maintain safety, quality, productivity and cost-effectiveness. Works 12 hour rotating shifts.

Essential Job Functions:

• Organize, coordinate and manage department production activities for cost effectiveness and safety.
• Monitor equipment and production activities, directing operators to make necessary process changes.
• Assist with trouble shooting and problem-solving.
• Issue work permits and periodically monitor work progress.
• Train operators and guide their work.
• Order supplies and chemicals.
• Complete production reports using computer.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance work, including locking out equipment.
• Communicate with superintendent, peers and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail and in person.

Tools/Equipment Used To Perform Job:
Computer, control systems, hand tools, ladders, hoses, cleaning equipment, locks. Required as needed: Fall harnesses, goggles, face shield, rubber boots, rubber chemical suit, respirators.

RESPIRATOR MEDICAL CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Minumium Job Requirements:
Education/Training/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred in relevant field of study such as business, management, engineering or manufacturing technology.
• Previous work experience managing people and processes.
• ADM safety orientation and ongoing OSHA required plant safety training.
• Basic knowledge of process equipment.
