The role

Support project teams across all lines of business and provide clients with an unbiased evaluation to determine if alternate construction techniques such as modular and pre-assemblies are beneficial for their project and mitigate potential project risks.

Provide expertise in support of modular projects, including executive level report writing, developing and implementing module study programs, and coordinating the effort of outside specialist companies on behalf of Clients.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Good team leadership and interaction skills to interface with Clients and multiple third party participants.
  • Demonstrates extensive experience and knowledge of the modular industry and application to projects
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive project execution activities.
  • Demonstrable creativity, foresight, and mature technical judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse modular applications and activities.
  • Occasionally involved in recruitment to meet resource requirements.
  • Interfaces closely with Clients and works to develop long term relationships.

Experience and Qualifications

The candidates must demonstrate competency and experience in the following:

  • Strong interest to work in a ‘sell-do’ business model.
  • Strong self-starter and motivated to succeed.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of low-carbon sub-sectors.
  • Confidence to work at all levels of a client organisation.
  • Practical consulting experience including scoping, selling and delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to produce concise reports and presentations.
  • Leads the preparation of proposals, execution plans and budgets, and identify new opportunities.
  • Supports a continuous improvement culture.
  • Perform Front end modular feasibility and concept studies
  • Develop cost comparisons for international and domestic module fabrication shops using historical metrics and current market bid data
  • Provide logistics survey support
  • Develop reports and presentations to document and communicate the outcome of modular studies and evaluations
  • Participate in the development of proposal content such as work scope activities, estimates, schedules and execution plans
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for the development of optimized module configurations and execution
  • Provide Modular best practices and lessons learned training sessions for project teams
  • Provide ongoing modular consultation during engineering and design phases
  • Develop bid packages for module shop bidding
  • Prepare bid tabs and make recommendation for supplier selection
  • Participate in module shop evaluations and pre-qualification surveys
  • Provide module shop oversight during the fabrication and assembly phase and may provide field support for installation.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field + 15 years relevant modular experience in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management.
  • 20 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
