Job Description:
The Omni Richmond Hotel is hiring for a reliable, Part-Time Security Officer to join the Loss Prevention team. In the role of Security Officer, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for the hotel's staff and guests, as well as protect the assets of the hotel while delivering service that exceeds our guests' expectations. Additionally, you will be responsible for responding quickly to guest and staff requests and providing caring interactions with all staff and guests.

Part-Time Position
Starting Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
During a shift, the responsibilities for our Security Officers include:
  • Continuously observing and reporting on all assignments
  • Patrolling the interior and exterior areas of the hotel
  • Keeping accurate records and reporting any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property.
  • Regularly and effectively communicating with departments using radio equipment.
  • Ensuring protection and preservation of the hotel's associates and guests, as well as company and personal properties.
  • Maintaining professional attitude and appearance.
  • Responding to emergency calls immediately and remaining calm during incidents
  • Monitoring video surveillance periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
  • Administering Lost & Found program and comply with Hotel's Lost & Found policy.
  • Maintaining knowledge of all safety and emergency contacts and procedures; Being familiar with accident prevention policies and reporting procedures.
  • Working cooperatively with the James Center Security and local law enforcement
  • Deescalating conflicts and escorting disruptive individuals as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the qualifications candidate need are:
  • Previous security and/or loss prevention experience in a hotel, business, or residential environment preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certified preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communicate skill in English
  • Intermediate computer skills; Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours; Ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.
  • Flexible availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and periods of high demand
  • Outstanding problem-solving and guest-service skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a Background check.
  • Must be 18 years or older
