Position Summary:

The Security Team is responsible for the physical security of the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are looking for a professional individual to provide guests and employees a safe, secure, and friendly environment to work and enjoy.

Shift Information:

• Shift lengths vary depending on business needs and can be up to 8 hours any day and time of the week including weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• Continuously control building access, guarding against unauthorized entry and activities.
• Monitor video surveillance regularly.
• Regularly maintain various registers/security logs.
• Regularly patrol facility by constant walking and climbing stairs.
• Identify and correct safety/security issues while escalating issues as needed to Security Supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with San Jose Emergency Services as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts ($50 deposit required)
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must clear background check with no felony convictions
• Must have the ability to deescalate situations
• Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts
• Prior customer service experience required
• Must be a team player
• Must be able to work with people of all ages
• Ability to learn new skills quickly
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk/navigate around the building for long stretches of time throughout the duration of the shift, going up and down stairs multiple times a shift
