Job Description

• The Group Sales Assistant is responsible for helping with logistics to ensure the successful execution of events at Roaring Springs Waterpark, Wahooz Family Fun Zone and the Galaxy Event Center. Events include corporate summer parties, family groups, club and church events, conferences, meetings, and more.
• Develop a positive working relationship with the sales representatives, banquets team, operations, and IT departments to ensure the outstanding delivery of group events and repeat business. Engage in courteous, professional, and prompt communication with all internal departments.
• Support the sales staff by entering groups into the reservation system, calling for deposits, sending confirmation emails, and gathering details to ensure the successful execution of group events. Invoice group leaders after the event is complete.
• Take reservations via phone and email for groups of 30 or fewer guests. Upsell when possible. Complete Reservation Checklists to ensure all details are set.
• Quickly develop a warm, friendly, professional rapport with group leaders, giving them confidence that we are proactively driving the event planning process every step of the way. Respond within the same business day whenever possible
• Properly enter all information into a BEO (Banquet Event Order) in Caterease (event planning software), as well as updating contracts and other forms accurately.
• Complete other administrative tasks including sending out post-event surveys, printing tickets, creating fliers, and checking in groups.

Pay rate: $16 or based on experience

Summer position, mid-May through mid-to-late August

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm with some variable hours on weekends and evenings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
