Job Summary:

We're seeking an energetic Research Analyst to assist our Retail Expansion team with helping our employees develop their skills and knowledge. Your goal as the Research Analyst will be to research the cannabis business expansion opportunities on a national level and be able to monitor, track and represent our company in order to write and submit business applications. You must be highly organized, proficient in time management, and possess excellent public speaking skills. The ideal candidate will also be punctual, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and willing to flex into a new role at any given moment. Cannabis Industry experience is a plus!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Research cannabis business expansion opportunities in CA and nationally
  • Monitor, track, and provide summaries of municipal and regulatory meetings in memo format
  • Provide summaries of ordinances and municipal codes in a memo format to be distributed to multiple department
  • Represent the company while contacting various jurisdictions to determine timeline of allowing cannabis businesses
  • Assist in writing cannabis business applications
  • Identify and anticipate potential issues that may impact business operations
  • Additional tasks as may be required by management

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze legislation
  • Ability to accurately and concisely summarize ordinances and legislative discussions
  • Strong writing skills and experience in writing cannabis applications
  • Strong time management
  • Critical thinking

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Understanding of local and state law making processes
  • Understanding the structure of local municipalities
  • Understanding of the permitting requirements for cannabis businesses
  • Cannabis Industry Experience Highly Preferred

Pay: $64,480.00 - $75,000.00 per year
