POSITION: RECEIVING CLERK
DEPARTMENT: PURCHASING AND RECEIVING
REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT CONTROLER
REQUIREMENTS
Must be flexible in work schedule and willing to work a variety of shifts including days/nights, weekends and holidays as deemed necessary. Requires knowledge of receiving and loading dock practices and traffic coordination as well as usage of warehouse equipment.
Requires high school education or equivalent. Previous relevant experience preferred.
SUMMARY:
The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for supervising the daily traffic out on the loading dock and connecting street. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, effectively communicating with arriving vendors for proper traffic flow as well as Security, Banquets/Catering, Purchasing, and other departments for delivery of food and non-food items.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push up to 85 pounds. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Normal vision and hearing range. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
