Summary

Implements and coordinates activities related to the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for production processes/systems, materials, products and parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Auditing and reporting of site process through use of metrics.
  • Administer new and existing process development, implementation, and controls in support of Delta Group

Electronics and customer specific needs at the site.

  • Administer implementation of user group standards across the site and support user group projects on specific processes as required.
  • Mentor and train individuals in various processes, required tools, and philosophies.
  • Support DFM development on new and existing customer projects and RFQ's.
  • Administer assessments of new components for implementation into the manufacturing process.
  • Support manufacturing tool design and implementation.
  • Support failure analysis.
  • Support new customer product introductions.
  • Assist in cost reduction projects on specific processes.
  • Support process qualifications and validations of both new and existing processes.
  • Support quote activities by reviewing and ensuring all customer technology requirements are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required for this position;

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • Industry experience of 3- 5 or more years is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Surface Mount Technology and Selective Wave Solder process is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate Electronic Assembly skills required.
  • Thermal, Mechanical, and Materials Knowledge preferred. Intermediate Operational Knowledge preferred.

Language Skills

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Intermediate Decision Making and Problem Solving

Computer Skills

  • Perform moderately complex computer tasks as assigned. Intermediate skills required.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
