Job Description


The mission of the Chief of Staff is to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the leadership team and company by providing structure, processes, tools, and leadership that will enable the company to achieve their transformation and business goals. The Chief of Staff will be a key member of the executive team reporting to the CEO and will be an extension of the office of the CEO. This includes owning and leading cross-functional initiatives that are not otherwise owned by a member of the executive team, driving accountability within the executive team to accomplish both deliverables and results, and improving communication and execution across leaders and teams. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business leadership role, with a special focus on driving results and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as right hand to the CEO to drive the business results
  • Partner with the executive team to achieve company and team priorities and targets
  • Own and execute transformation and strategic initiatives and programs
  • Drive the leadership team cadence, metrics, disciplined execution, and reporting priorities; including board reporting
  • Own Quarterly Business Review and weekly Defining Objectives Sprint cadences
  • Diagnose and solve business problems in partnership with leaders and functional teams
  • Provide a data-driven and analytical approach to programs and initiatives
  • Create or implement frameworks, systems, and processes to streamline operations and increase productivity
  • Produce and/or review executive internal and external communications, including company presentations, reports, pitch decks, or other communications
  • Identify and address gaps in company and leadership team execution before they become problems
  • Work directly with the CEO as a sounding board for ideas and collaborating on business decisions, communication, priorities, and other cross-functional initiatives
  • Partner with M&A team on acquisition integration activities as requested

Required Skills

  • 5+ years in a business or executive leadership role, preferably in a functional area
  • Experience in multiple software company functions
  • Strong operational and execution skills (planning, problem solving, unblocking, etc.)
  • Strong track record in solving problems and driving results
  • Must have high analytical skills, be able to see patterns (systems thinker), be a strategic decision maker
  • Must have solid financial experience
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
  • Extremely versatile and highly efficient
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
