Responsibilities:

GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to support the corporate office of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment located in Orlando, FL. Your role as QA Analyst is imperative to releasing quality software. You will be a critical thinker and someone who can rapidly consume domain knowledge and determine comprehensive, meaningful tests You will develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the QA team within the IT organization. You will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. This will include creating estimates, writing test plans and scripts, tracking defects and fixes in various systems. You will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of business investments. You will:


  • Participate in the quality assurance aspects of design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of large projects using client server and web-based technologies.
  • Apply testing methodology, knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements
  • Perform quality assurance efforts to support development projects and enhancements to production systems.
  • Provide testing support including creation, execution, and analysis of system testing.
  • Communicate results of quality analysis to thread lead.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing
  • Testing experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing
  • Experience writing test cases and detailed defects
  • Knowledge of the project development life cycle with a focus on quality assurance best practices
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, non-technical project managers, business analysts, and customers
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective organizational skills, demonstrated by ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and be attentive to details
  • Be a self-starter, work well within a team environment with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of current and emerging information technologies

What else is important:

  • Background in quality analysis, design, development or implementation of large-scale systems
  • Knowledge of detailed business specifications such as project plans, process flows, conceptual diagrams, data dictionaries, prototypes, user interface designs, use cases, screen layout and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of a variety of technical architectures
  • Detailed oriented
