About the position

TJFACT is seeking to hire a Property Book Technician in Ft. Jackson, SC to join our team!

The Property Book Technician performs property accountability, asset visibility, and equipment management functions at the direction of a property book manager and/or a property book officer. The preferred candidate will have experience in accounting for, proper labeling and proper packaging of CLIX repair parts for storage and/or shipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be well versed in all supply/property accountability functions in GCSS-Army.
  • Provide technical and administrative functions, in conjunction with performing supply management and logistics automated functions in an automated logistics environment.
  • Also responsible for managing sensitive item reporting, processing lateral transfers and researching MTOE/TDA equipment in USAFMSA, LIW, and GCSS-Army.
  • Processing equipment for turn in to DLA utilizing post property book transactions.
  • Provide customer service, reconciling hand receipts, cataloging property, maintaining property book records in addition to managing inventories, sensitive items, GSA Vehicles, kitchen equipment, and all property on the facility's hand receipt.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience must be equivalent to a Military Occupational Skill of a 92Y or a 920A
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of individuals and articulate supply management processes and procedures to the customers.
  • Must possess knowledge and experience of all logistical systems which includes AESIP, DST, LIW, FMSWEB, and CSS.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the Financial Liability Investigative Property Loss (FLIPL) to include the initiation process, how to conduct causative research, the gathering of sworn statements and completing DD Form 200 for submission to the higher headquarters for processing.
  • Must be able to assist the other property book technicians, in the field, with projects that directly affect the customer.
