Project Engineer

Location/Area: Vance AFB - Enid, OK

Salary Range: $65k to $90K per year + incentives

Job Description:

IHC Scott is seeking a Project Engineer to assist with work at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, OK. Responsibilities include organizing and directing the continuous operations of all contracted work assigned with the understanding and daily following of TQM philosophy. This is to be accomplished in conjunction with practicing ethical business transactions, adhering to the corporate policies, values, and beliefs while pursuing the company's short and long term goals.

Responsibilities:

• Support Project Manager and/or Project Superintendent
• Daily safety leadership
• Interface with others to resolve problems, ensure the quality of construction, and promote operational efficiency
• Daily project quantity tracking and cost review
• Attend and/or lead daily and weekly project meetings
• Maintain consistent and accurate schedule
• Identify and capture project opportunities
• Identify and address project challenges risks
• Subcontractor management
• Submittal, RFI, permit, and vendor management
• Timely completion of project closeout
• Any other duties related to the project engineer role

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of project management including documentation, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, dispute resolution, personnel management, and resource scheduling
• Possess excellent people and communication skills
• Relationship and team building skills
• Possess excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills
• Self-starter & educator
• Computer Skills must include Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Access)
• Must be willing to travel

Preferences:

• BS Degree: Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Experience with Heavy Civil construction
• Experience with Design/Build
