Job Description

The Retail Product Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution throughout the product life cycle (NPI) including full understanding of US Retail competitive landscape, prioritizing product and customer requirements, representing product vision with internal partners, and working closely with sales, marketing, production, and support teams to ensure product requirements and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the products support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

This position will help to increase ASUS’ mix and share within large US retailer partners. This would include dotcom and in store assortment. The position will be focused on, but not limited to, our ASUS Notebook and Desktop platforms. This role will work closely with our Retail Sales Managers and ASUS Marketing Teams to develop messaging that convey ASUS’ reputation as a premium brand and educate our customers on ASUS’ leading innovative technologies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Work with external third-party technology partners to assess future technologies
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition, customers, and market
  • Work with Product Marketing to develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Present ASUS products and roadmap presentations to our customers
  • Work with our Director of Sales to develop presentations and facilitate sales collateral
  • Work directly with NPD teams to gather and report monthly market research
  • Coordinate product launch strategies with our production and sales teams
  • Work with our Sales team to develop training for Best Buy training seminars with energetic, knowledgeable, and concise presentations on featured products.


Required Qualification

Years of Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree


Work Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in the Product/Project Management


Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of the U.S. Retail PC market
  • Strong ability to work within cross functional team environment
  • Strong public speaking ability for training events
  • Proven ability to meet strict and often tight timelines
  • Strong Excel skills / Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • Proactive, strong ownership, teamwork and self-motivated
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Travel

  • Able to travel 10%-20% of the time


Working Conditions
:

  • Typically works in an office environment
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time

$80,000 - $120,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
