Job Title: Patient Care Representative
Department: Optometry Retail
Reports To: Office Coordinator
SUMMARY:
Responsible for front-line communication with patients and location staff by performing the following duties.
ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Responsible for organizing, routing, and operating all functions regarding the telephone.
Responsible for communication of information regarding the company and general information and specific information as directed to doctors, patients, and inquiries.
Responsible for patient/visitor flow.
Coordinates and performs appointment scheduling as instructed. Verifies insurance information prior to patient’s appointment and/or at time of appointment.
Responsible for front desk procedures which may include greeting patients, cash handling, ordering, receiving, and maintaining office supplies.
May assist with inventory.
Performs clerical duties as needed including check-in, check-out, records releases, and maintenance of medical records.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Must be organized and have a clear sense of priority.
Well-developed interaction skills.
Basic understanding of insurance requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School degree or GED equivalent; up to six months related experience and/or training in a medical setting; working knowledge of basic computer programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from doctors, patients, customers, and the general public.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Team member occasionally is exposed to communicable diseases and medical preparations common to clinical environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Products and services car wash and detail. 1-3 years of supervisory experience in car wash, retail, or service capacity. Facilitate and assess damage claims.
